Random Book Picker: Choose From Your Own TBR List
Paste the books you want to read and draw one at random. A free TBR picker with no repeats within a round, no signup and no list upload.
A ReadersGuild guide. About the publisher. Revised .
One book is enough for now
Let your shortlist choose.
Add your books, then draw one. This chooses from your list; it does not search a book catalog.
Your titles stay in this tab. The picker does not upload or save the list. Tool-use analytics omit titles and results.
01 / Make it available
Remove books you cannot open or borrow yet. Chance cannot check a library hold.
02 / Draw one title
Each different line has the same chance on a draw. Drawn titles stay out until you restart or edit.
03 / Try the opening
Read a sample or a short sitting. You can stop or pick another book if it does not fit.
A TBR picker, not a recommendation engine
TBR means to be read. Use this tool when you already have books in mind and want to break a tie. It does not add books, rank their quality, check content warnings or decide which edition is right for you. If you are still looking for ideas, use the guide to choosing a book.
What counts as one choice
Enter a whole title on each line. Commas stay inside that line. Blank lines are ignored; matching lines count once after case and extra spaces are normalized. Different spellings, editions and author labels remain different choices. Review the list if you want each work to appear only once.
The tool accepts up to 100 different lines, with at most 200 characters each. It uses your browser's pseudorandom number generator to choose among the remaining lines. There is no spinning delay or claim of a better reading outcome. Refreshing clears the list and the round.
