Use it your way

  1. Copy

    Paste into your notes

  2. Or print

    Write on the worksheet

  3. Keep one thought

    Blank fields are fine

Need more layout options?Browse eight journal ideas
  1. Start with the title and author

These two fields make it possible to find the book later. Dates are optional unless you want a record of when you read it.

  2. Write a reaction in your own words

Try a sentence you would say to a friend. It can be as simple as 'I liked the setting but lost track of the characters.'

  3. Save one thing with its location

Keep an idea, question or brief quote. Add a page number or chapter so you can find the context again.

  4. Add a line to the book log

Use the bottom section for a quick list of finished books. Keep the longer journal page only for books you want to reflect on.

A few quick answers

Can I save this as a PDF?

Choose Print template, then your browser's Save as PDF option if available. You can also copy the plain text into a document.

Will you save what I write?

This is a blank worksheet, not an online form. Copy it into your own app or write on a printed copy. This page does not store journal entries.

Can I use it for school?

Yes, as a personal starting point. If a teacher assigned a format or required particular fields, follow those instructions.
